About the Founder

Debra E. Williams offers more than thirty years of highly accomplished administrative experience in the corporate and non-profit sectors where she has made the effective achievement of results her highest priority. 

Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to establish a strong network of professional colleagues, supporters and friends in small and large industries. Former Board Member (Vice Chair) Detroit Parent Network; Northwestern High School Alumi Association; (Secretary) Little Scholars Daycare. (Board Chair). Also former Candidate for the Detroit City Council 2009 election. 

 

Debra created Simply Ask Services, Inc., a for-profit consulting firm designed to assist clients in creating and developing non-profit organizations and starting their own business. Through this work Debra has helped approximately (100) clients to pursue their dreams. 

 

Debra was also the Project Coordinator for Black Legends Professional Basketball Foundation, a non-profit organization that conducted youth sports programming in the Detroit Public School System. She was the Project Leader for “House Congressional Resolution 59” which sought to obtain recognition for African-American Basketball players who played during the early to mid 1900’s.  The resolution passed in Congress October 2005.

 

Her most recent project has been forming the new non-profit “Uniquely Made Diamonds Enrichment Program, Inc.. To provide an educational life skills program for girls 10-13 years old.  The programs will provide resources, various awareness workshops and advocacy forums to increase their knowledge on basic life skills on information that they may not normally have access to. 


 

Debra has won numerous community and civic awards for her continued commitment to help make Detroit a better city:

  • 2008 State of Michigan Certificate of Tribute – Governor Granholm

  • 2006 Spirit of Detroit Award

  • 2006 Volunteer Service Award from Mayor City of Detroit

  • 2006 Detroit Parent Network Certificate of Appreciation for Children’s Internal Affairs

  • 2005 Award for support of Dr. John Kline’s induction into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame
